ScholarForge is a teacher-only resource sharing and professional collaboration platform. It is designed for educators to share classroom-tested lessons, instructional resources, unit planning ideas, and professional materials.
ScholarForge does not require student accounts, does not operate as a student portal, and is not intended to collect student-identifying information. ScholarForge does not sell personal information.
Information We Collect
Account information
ScholarForge may collect a teacher or administrator’s name, display name, email address,
username, password/session data, and account role information needed to create and manage accounts.
Educator submissions
ScholarForge may collect lessons, resource descriptions, uploaded files, links, comments,
unit materials, and other instructional content submitted by teachers or administrators.
Usage data
ScholarForge may collect limited usage information such as page views, downloads, timestamps,
and general activity logs to improve organization, performance, and usability.
Security data
ScholarForge may collect IP addresses, timestamps, browser/session information, and related
technical data to detect spam, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the platform.
How We Use Information
Information collected on ScholarForge is used only to:
- Provide teacher accounts and secure access to educator tools
- Support lesson sharing, resource uploads, unit planning, and collaboration features
- Review, moderate, publish, hide, or remove submitted educator content when necessary
- Contact users about account access, moderation, technical problems, or important platform updates
- Prevent spam, abuse, unauthorized access, or malicious activity
- Improve site organization, usability, reliability, and performance
Student Information
ScholarForge is not intended to collect student personal information. Teachers should not upload student names, student email addresses, grades, IEP/504 details, disciplinary records, health information, photos of students, or other student-identifying information.
If student-identifying information is accidentally submitted, the site administrator may remove it. Users should report any student-identifying information they find so it can be reviewed.
Public Visibility
Some content on ScholarForge may be public, such as published lessons, downloadable resources, public resource descriptions, or author/display names associated with submitted materials.
Teacher email addresses are not intentionally published publicly. However, users should avoid placing private contact information inside uploaded documents, lesson descriptions, or public comments unless they are comfortable sharing it.
Email Communications
ScholarForge may send operational emails related to account access, password resets, moderation, resource submissions, or important platform updates. ScholarForge does not sell email addresses.
Cookies
Cookies are used only for essential site functions such as login sessions, security protections, and basic platform operation.
Data Retention
Information is retained only as long as necessary to operate the platform, maintain security, preserve submitted educator resources, and support moderation or abuse-prevention needs.
Users may contact the site administrator to request account changes or removal of submitted content, subject to practical, technical, legal, or moderation-related limitations.
Third-Party Services
ScholarForge may use trusted third-party providers to support essential services such as email delivery, file storage, security, hosting, or backups. These providers process information only as necessary to deliver the related service.
Related Tools
ScholarForge may link to related tools such as QuizForge, WVClassroom, or FreemanWV projects. Those tools may have their own workflows and privacy practices. ScholarForge’s teacher-only privacy policy applies to ScholarForge itself.
